The Japa Tour Jungle Trek Survival Tour, is Lahu Hill Tribe owned, operated and fully licensed.
- The jungle survival tour is aimed at living the jungle life, hill tribe style.
- Walk into the jungle, pick natural materials and make your own eating tools.
- Learn about edible plants, the medicinal uses of different herbs and how to purify and make clean drinking water.
- Pick natures foods or fish without a proper rod, cook and eat like the local hill tribe people.
- Sleep in jungle huts or as guests in villages.
- Trek using the semi wild jungle paths or use machetes to make your way through to waterfalls, villages, rice paddies or farm lands. Also available are hot springs, tea plantations and more.

We will pick you up at hotel in Chiangrai. Drive up North West of the City to Jalae Lahu village. Your guide will explain you the Lahu story and the instruction for hiking. We then hike through the bamboo and teak forests until the Huay maesai water fall. Your local guide will show you how to cut bamboo by Machetes, and how to cook in Bamboo. We will take a few hours to learn cooking lunch in bamboo including making the Bamboo cups, chopsticks and spoon. Afterward, enjoy the cool breeze and swimming in the waterfall. We then hike up hill through the paddy fields and rice terreces to The red Lahu , Yafu village. Onway, a tour guide will tell you the herbal plants that you can ure and use when you have injury by accident. We will walk around the village to learn their way of life. We then walk back to Akha village. Return to Chiangrai. | |||||||
